It was a really cold day!  Marc pulled out the wagon and Isabella was having fun with the blanket.

Pancakes...

The day after Easter is called Easter Monday here or 2nd Easter and it is an additional holiday...which means a day off from work for Marc!
We decided to check out a new Dutch town, Thorn, with an incredible pancake house restaurant.
It was a great place and super kid friendly!
Check out that cool lego table above.  The kiddos were having a GREAT time.

Isaac was building a castle...another passion right behind pirates!

There was a a computer for the kids and Isabella was loving it.

It was a fun morning of hanging out.

Toasting to a great vacation...we are off to the beach and in search of sun!

Operation playtime

Last Sunday we had a BEAUTIFUL day here (it was 72 degrees!).  We had so much fun playing outside.
Our commissary has a playground right outside and it is the perfect size for our kiddos.
Isabella was loving wearing Daddy's watch. :)

Here are a few things Isabella is up to lately:
Her new favorite color is orange (she still loves pink).
She loves her pink sweatshirt & sparkly pink glitter belt.
"ME DO IT" is a phase that often comes out of her mouth.
She can buckle herself into her car seat but MUST take off her jacket first.
She is 90% potty trained.

She has to sleep with her bear and blanket and those are the ONLY things that can be in her bed with her.
She is still really attached to her pacifier....we have made a few attempts to get rid of it but it is not going to be easy!
She is our morning person (she is ALWAYS the 1st one up of the kiddos, usually after Daddy)...her and Daddy spend many early mornings together.

All 3 kids have been playing really well together and have been into a lot of the same things.
Whatever Isaac loves the girls do too!

Isaac is doing SO well in school and we are so proud of him.
He has an easy going spirit and is always looking out for his sisters.
He is a great helper.
He loves to do art, help me cook, and play pirates.
He goes to a Church program called AWANA's on Tuesday evenings and he always gets really excited to go.
If we give him a gift or a treat he always says "is this for ME?!"

Ava is someone we always have to keep an eye on....you never know what she is going to do next.
She loves to wash her hands and continue playing in the water for long periods of time.
She grasps concepts that are beyond a 2 year old mind....we are curious as to how this will all play out.
She is a chatter box and can repeat anything.
She loves her bed full of everything when she sleeps.  She often will have at least 2 pillows, 5 stuffed animals & maybe a toy for good measure BUT she only wants one blanket. :)
She still sleeps with her Lulu (stuffed giraffe) and her pacifier.
She is also about 90% potty trained.

** A side note= you would never guess how much time I spend in the bathroom each day.  I think the game between them is called "Let's Keep Mommy Busy by Wanting to go Potty" all. day. LONG. :)

These girls are so sweet together (most of the time) and are always looking out for each other.  I can ask one of them what is wrong with the other one and they can always tell me.  

They sure keep me busy!

Our kiddos are growing up so fast but it is so much fun to watch them learn new things and develop such fun personalities!

Brunch & Easter afternoon

After Church on Easter we went to brunch with our friends.  There is Aiden sitting with Isaac.  It was a good buffet style meal.

Isabella was all about the bread.

They have the prettiest color eggs here.  See the basket in the middle of the table?

The kids were super excited when they discovered the Nutella.  They had little packets of it and there is one in Ava's hand.

When we got home from brunch we had our little at home adventure.  The kids wanted to go outside and Isaac "packed" up for an adventure.

It was really cold last weekend.  We had to buddle up to play outside.

The kids always get creative and Isabella was lining up her princesses for a little fun.

Ava is finally trying out her balance bike.

We were given a balance bike from a friend and Isaac was having fun trying it out.

Ava was enjoying Isabella's little set-up.

These two were zooming in circles around the yard.

This one makes us laugh.  She has no interest in the balance bike and loves to do her own thing.  She really has quite the personality.  She really loves her sunglasses and always wants to wear them.

She is one of a kind. :)

These two are cuties and ALMOST potty trained. We have them in undies full time now...but we are still having a few accidents. :( Today wasn't a great potty training day....oh, well there is always tomorrow...
