What are they are up to?

    When I did the 8 month post I didn't write out what these little ones have been up to. They are keeping us busy and we want to remember this time!

They are on the brink of teething and crawling.  :)  Ava rolled her way out of the living room and into the foyer the other day. 

They can sit on their own but still need a little support. 

They "talk" all the time.  It sounds like they are saying da da da.  They even throw in a ma ma ma every once in a while.

They love grabbing onto things especially Mommy's earings.   

They are great eaters and drinking about 24 oz (about 4- 6 oz bottles) a day and eating about 2 meals with baby food.

They have liked pretty much all that we have given them but NOT the "green" stuff like green peas and beans.  They must have similar taste buds because they BOTH don't like it...funny!  Their little lips & faces get all scrunched up & they are not having it....maybe next month, or maybe avocados???

 They both wear a size 3 Pampers diapers.

They are in mostly 6-9 months and 9 month (depending on the brand) clothing.

 They are really active and rarely sit still.  When people hold Isabella they are always amazed at her strength.  Ava is still a wet noodle.

Isabella especially loves the jumperoo.

 They are both pretty happy 95% of the time.  They usually just cry when they are hungry or tired or sometimes Isabella will be upset when she has a dirty diaper. 

Isabella tends to be a little more serious and a deep thinker with those dark eyes.  Ava always has a good smile.

 And just to keep it real.  This is Isaac in his PJs and his favorite stuffed animal, Bo.

Which is cute until you realize that it is not sunrise but sunset in the background.  Yep, it was a PJ day when Marc was out of town and I even had to put clean PJs on him for bed...this guy had stuff all over him! :)

Here's a couple Isaac happenings:

He calls both girls Bella most of the time.  FYI, Marc and I only call her Isabella so Bella is completely Isaac.  If Ava gets called by a name he usually says Eva or Beva but commonly just calls her Bella too.  He does call both together as "sisters" quite often. 

We were sitting on the couch today watching a video and Isabella was in between Isaac and I and she kept trying to pull his hair. Finally he said very nicely "watch Bella"...somehing about it was just so cute!

They have also started playing with his toys.  He isn't too into that (of course) but when he takes it back from them I tell him he has to give them a toy to play with and he is good about finding them something new.  Watch out for when they can take the toy back!! :)

Happy Birthday Daddy!

 Happy Birthday Daddy!  You are the best Daddy and we hope you have a wonderful day!  We love you soooo much!

 We had cake for Marc last night since he is out of town on a work trip for his actual Birthday today.  The girls are not in the picture because last night was a little crazy since both the girls took HORRIBLE naps yesterday and still aren't feeling great.  They were in bed for the night at 6:30.  Just because they went down at 6:30 did not mean we had a peaceful evening.  They are congested (Isabella has a cold again) and kept waking up!  Ava got up at midnight and wanted a bottle and then Isaac fell out of his bed (thankfully landing on his bottom) but somehow got a black eye??? and then was up at 3:00 am for about an hour.  Since Marc was going out of town he was out of the house at 5:00 am....fun stuff but the cake was good and I am going to have leftovers today! :)  I will save some for you Marc!

Santa is still here

 It's coming to the end of February and Santa still likes to show up at our house.  Isaac loves his Santa hat and keeps it in his hiding place in the car (there is a little storage bin by his seat that he loves to keep things in) and every so often it stays on his head & comes back into the house. :)

  Sweet Ava has not been feeling well.  She was so congested last night that we set up the bassinet she used to sleep in with hopes that the incline might help her sleep better.  Look at her poor eyes...every time she gets a cold it goes straight to the eyes!

Now she fills up the bassinet! Even while sick, you get to see her cute smile and that tongue she loves to stick out.

Life on the go

Sometimes you have to be flexible and go with the flow.  I think our kids are learning that and I know Marc and I are!  You know when babies are hungary they are hungary NOW! :)  We were trying to run some errands a couple of weeks ago and that is exactly what happened.  It's not too much of a big deal in our OFAV (Odyssey Family Assault Vehicle) so we just pulled over and fed them.  It's great to have a video in the car so in these times Isaac is entertained.  Check out the pics for our "feeding in the car."   After they were done eating we asked Isaac if he wanted to hold them...

  He was KINDA interested as long as it didn't interrupt his movie....such a boy! :)

Finally we got a smile from Isaac and of course Ava was all smiles.

Happy Birthday Aunt Brenda & some silliness

Today is Aunt Brenda's birthday!!  We wish you a very Happy Birthday!!!  We love you!!!

 Isabella is so cute and as I have mentioned before the girls are getting places.

 Isabella thought under Ava's crib was great place to play the other day. 

 Ava's hair is getting much longer and this is how it looked after we took out the bow the other day...bow-head! :)

You wonder why we don't have a ton of pictures of all the kids together? ...because it usually ends something like this!

Haircut & Valentines

The iMan got a haircut.

  and he is looking pretty smashing in his new cut and was thrilled to get a sucker out of the deal.

Not only was he looking good with his new doo but he was wearing his new shirt that our friend Amy made for him.  Check out her etsy shop Hank Orange....soooo cute!

 The girls were also sporting their new shirts from Hank Orange too.  They say "My heart belongs to Daddy." Daddy wants that to be true till they are at least 30! Ha!

 They had a fun Valentine's Day and they hope you are having a good day too!

8 months!

  The girls are 8 months!  

Isabella is thinking "Wow, Ava, it's another cake.  What do you think we should do with it this month?"

   "Do you think if we put our hands in it they will notice?"

 "Hmmm....well, all I got is some red frosting on my hand.  I want some of that good stuff!" 

 Ava says "Watch me Isabella" with a smile on on her face and both hands in the cake.

"Oh, no they took it from us!  Look at all that powdered sugar on our laps.  Well, maybe at 9 months we will have more success."

They are all over the place!

 Check out these girls...they are all over the place.  We laugh at the places they are getting to.   They both love to get under the rocking chair...I have no idea why.  Marc says they are hiding from iMan... Here are some cute pictures of the girls from the other day.  We are having so much fun with them.

  

The great outdoors and a new discovery

 Oh, glorious sunshine!  It is amazing what it does for your spirits. We have had TWO sunny days in a row and it has been wonderful!  We went on an awesome walk yesterday.  It was one of those walks that made you feel like Spring just might be right around the corner!  We also discovered that we live in a pretty cool area. :)   

 Ava was happy to be out in the sunshine.

 Here they are in the stroller that I have a love/hate relationship with.  You may ask why such strong opinions about a stroller?  Well, when it is something you use everyday and you haul in and out of the car many, many times you begin to form a STRONG opinion.  There are many reasons for the hate but today was a love moment.  The seats are great because you can move them in any position and it was fun to have the girls face me. :)

 Happy (& sick) little man with mud all over his face.  He has been fighting a bug lately and we have been trying to get him healthy...the sun did his soul well.

 We went around the corner on the trail & we discovered the best thing...a playground!!! WOW!  What fun we are going to have here.  It is HUGE and about a 1/2 mile from our house.  

 Isaac was having a blast.

Here we are on our way home.  Isaac was in need of a nap and I made room on the stroller for him...he was not a fan of the camera at this point. :)  We made it home and all had great naps (except Isabella who slept in the stroller so I got some one-on-one time with the sweet girl).
