Pretend sleepover....

Summertime!!!

It's here...finally!!  Warm enough weather that we can throw on our suits and have fun in the backyard!!!  How many people do you know like to wear rain boots with their swimsuit!?  Our little Isabella doesn't like grass or sand to hit her feet so wearing boots it is!

Happy Father's Day!

 Well, hello!  We are still here and but the computer still broken!! :(  We just wanted to wish our father's a HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!  Marc and I feel very blessed to have such great Dad's in our lives!

Marc is also such a wonderful Dad and it brings me joy to see the relationship he has with our kids.

Isabella was doing one of her favorite things today and we had to share (can't get the picture flipped!).

THREE!!

The girls are 3 today!  We had such a fun day!  I found a idea on the web of waking the girls up with balloons..it was a HUGE hit!  They loved having their own balloons.  We also had cupcakes for breakfast...the best!  Then after a busy morning a couple of friends met us at a park for a picnic lunch.  We had another little party this evening when Daddy got home from work! WOW, what a day--the kids are beat and so are we!  :)

We have posted a few pictures on Marc's FB so check that out.  We are having some troubles with my laptop where I do all my blogging from--hence the lack of posts lately!

Pirate Ship!

What a week!  I think the end of the school year can be so challenging with everything coming to a close.  We also ended the week with a sick Isabella...Isabella is NOT our easy-going sick child.  Ava and Isaac still sleep and eat fairly well when they are sick and then there is Isabella...she sleeps HORRIBLE!  On Friday night we were up every 2 hours with her and then she was up at 5 for the day--oh, my!  She was better last night but was still up at 6...here's hoping to a little more rest! :)

Anyway, the HIGHLIGHT of Portugal was going on a ship...Isaac is into ALL things pirates so it was a Pirate Ship in his mind and he was LOVING it!!!

We surprised him with the "we are going on a ship news" that morning and he was thrilled!   The building behind them is where we went to get the tickets.

There was a few hours between when we bought the tickets and sailing time so we went back to the hotel to give the girls naps and Isaac spent his time drawing treasure maps!

He was ready to go on a treasure hunt!

There is a lot of work on these ships!  We were impressed with the skill these guys had.

Ava was pretty attached to me on this boat ride...she was enjoying it as long as Marc or I were nearby.

About half-way though we let the kids get chips from the snack counter down below the deck...they thought it was the best thing ever...they still talk about the yummy chips. :)  Isaac is showing off the prize that was in his bag of chips.

Talk about an exciting moment...they let Isaac drive the ship!!
Isaac stated shortly after that riding on the ship was "HIS MOST FAVORITE THING EVER!"

When we were leaving the ship Isaac was thrilled to see a parrot (although fake)!  It was the perfect ending to his pirate adventure.
