10 Months!

Here is our 10 month old!  We can't believe that Isaac is 10 months! These pictures were a little harder to get because we have a wiggly worm on our hands and he kept going after the sign.  I am so glad that we have a little guy with lots of spunk!

This is what Isaac is up to these days...

-He loves to stand and cruise along furniture.  He recently figured out how to get DOWN from the furniture so that has been nice...before that he would have to cry to let Marc and I know he was ready to get down.  The crib picture is funny to us because that is the position we find him in when we go and get him out of his crib after naps and in the morning.  He usually has a huge grin on his face.

-Isaac still loves the stairs and climbs them all the time.  He is still determined to go down them face-first so we are still working on that.

-Isaac basically weaned himself a couple of weeks ago.  At first I was sad but when he started sleeping sooo much better and when he did wake up Marc was able to help out with a bottle I wasn't so sad. Can we also mention all the teeth...the teeth have been challenging!! :) He got 9 + months of awesome breast milk.  So the latest and greatest thing these days is that Isaac is a great sleeper!  He sleeps from 8 PM to 7:30 or 8 AM....what a huge blessing.  If he does wake up hungry it is usually about 5 in the morning so Marc will feed him before 

he leaves for work and Isaac goes back to sleep for a couple hours....NICE!

-He is still a great food eater although he still doesn't like bananas...we just tried them again this last week and it was a BIG NO!:)  We have tried a ton of new foods lately and he gobbles them all down.

-Isaac is such a joy!  He has such a great spirit and is so easy going!  He loves his stroller and likes to be out and about.  He still likes to be around people although the mascot at the baseball game we were at the other night scared him...he did look scary! :)  

-He just got his 9th tooth in last week and EVERYTHING goes straight to the mouth!!!  The sign was pretty chewed up by the end of the photo shot! :)

Breaking cords & Breaking out

So Kelly is offline for a bit on her computer, due to lil' guy enjoying putting her power cord in his mouth...A new charger cord should be here in a couple of days, so I'll put up a couple of posts in the mean time.  It's amazing how quick he is.  And yes, he loves cords ;-)

It was so beautiful over the Memorial Day weekend that we just had to break out of the house for a bit.  Here's how much Isaac likes crawling.  We keep running out of space at our casa, so we figured that we needed to find a big field for him to go wild.  We found some nice grass in between the soccer fields and well...you can see for yourself.

We did some camping too & we'll put up some good photos from the campsite.  Until then, please enjoy our little crawler man. :)

Memorial Day Weekend

* This is what I was working on when my power went out on my computer and I realized that Isaac had drooled so much on my cord that it wasn't working.  Problem is fixed because I got a NEW power cord in the mail yesterday and we are being EXTRA careful where we leave it! :)  This was also on my computer ready for me to finish when I powered it back up! 

So our weekend began with painting.  We had a beautiful blue room that Marc and his Dad painted when we first bought the house but the real estate agent felt we might want to paint it to appeal to more buyers.  So first went the primer and then a nice neutral taupe color.

Here are Isaac and Daddy at our camp out.  That is Marc's boss in the background with his fiance Nickie.  They are getting married in August in Las Vegas...we are planning on going and can't wait! We got to stay in their camper and they have some nice digs! :)  We had a great weekend hanging out with some of Marc's co-workers and it was beautiful weather!!

The Great Wolf Lodge Weekend

We were incredibly blessed this last weekend to be able to go to the Great Wolf Lodge in Kansas City for an all-expense paid Marriage Retreat Weekend with free child care!!  It was hosted by the Chaplains and offered to Marc's Brigade.  SOOOO cool!  It was a total last minute trip because we weren't sure if we could go because of Marc's schedule...his boss gave the last minute OK and so we went...yeah!  We had a great time and were excited to take Isaac swimming in his first pool.  He did awesome but didn't seem as excited by the water as by the side of pool where he could climb and STAND! :)

One of my favorite things...

STANDING...doesn't matter where, I just love to stand!  Lately I will spend hours just standing holding onto the sofa...I especially like it if Mommy or Daddy are sitting there because then I can use them as a jungle gym.

Daddy helped me up on the sofa so I could go to the next level.  I really enjoyed the experience...can't you tell?

Recent events and Seattle memories

There has been a delay in posting because there has been SO MUCH going on!  We had a wonderful trip out to Seattle but Kelly is still recovering for a horrible cold and Kelly and Isaac had another busy week traveling.  Kelly's Mom came home with her and Isaac last week and went with them to Tennesse this week.   We appreciate that Kelly's Mom was willing to do a LONG road trip and Isaac did AMAZING!  He is a great traveler and did awesome.  We also had a fun time seeing Aunt Brenda's in-laws in Southern Illinios.  It was so great to see them!

We also found out other big news...we are moving!!!  We don't know where yet but we will let you know.  Marc has some schooling that he needs to do so we are leaning towards that direction.  

Well, here are some pics from our Seattle trip.  We went out there to see Kelly's dear friend Heidi who now lives in New Zealand and was in Seattle visiting her family.  She also has a 9 month old and Isaac and Caleb had so much fun checking each other out. :)  It was so wonderful to see Heidi, meet the boys in her life and catch up!!!!

Here is Isaac on the plane.  Yes, he has the nose suction thing in his mouth....un-used of course.  It is amazing what you will use for entertainment on a long plane ride!

9 Months!

Here is our precious 9 month old!  Sorry this is a few days late but Isaac and Mommy have been busy traveling and just got home from the Seattle area last night.  It was a great week seeing old friends but both Isaac and Mommy got sick so we are recovering....no swine flu here folks just some good ole' colds and an ear infection....poor little guy he has been a trooper this week! We have many more photos and adventures to share but we thought we would get these up first.  Isaac has made some huge accomplishments this week and we can't wait to share. :)
