Pool Time!

Here I am at the pool.  I am loving the water and my new floatation device.  It's going to be a fun summer with lots of pool time!

I am almost 11 months old!  Check back in a few days and see my new pictures.

Father's Day and Isaac's Dedication

Happy Father's Day!!!

Here is the father-son combo on a beautiful sunny day here in Kansas before Church!  Do you know how hard it is to get this little guy to look at a camera?!  There were lots of people around and there was way to much to look at! :)  He gets distracted so easily.
We decided to have Isaac dedicated today at Church.  It is not a baptism but just a declaration before the Church and God that we will raise Isaac in a Christian home and teach him about Jesus.  This is Devin, our pastor, and we were blessed to have him do the dedication. 
Isaac's little girlfriend Isabella also got dedicated today and we tried to get a picture of the pair.  This is one of the few pictures that Isaac isn't grabbing her face....yeah, we have a few things to teach him! :)
We went out to lunch after Church at Chipotle...yummy!!  We went with our friends Matt & Elizabeth and Dan, Ashleigh and Isabella.   We were in a small group together and now we are all moving this summer!

The Rodeo

Hey y'all! Here are the Shafers at our first rodeo!

We went with our friends, the Kelso family (with almost 2 month Isabella), to the Kansas State High School championships in Topeka, KS. Those kids are super talented and we had a lot of fun watching them.

Here is Isaac trying out his first cowboy hat.  He looks pretty good as a cowboy.  You can't see it because of his overall's but he has his Wyoming Cowboy t-shirt on too! :)

Walking, Hats & Tractors

This week we have been busy.  The house is ready to sell...now let's bring on the buyers.  We also celebrated the Army's b-day yesterday and enjoyed seeing all the old Army uniforms in a special ceremony.  With it being the Army's b-day Marc gets a 4-day weekend.  That's a great b-day present!!  We have plans to go to the rodeo tomorrow so hopefully we will get some good pictures.

Isaac loves to walk....he still needs to hold onto something but one day soon he is going to master it!   He is not a big fan of hats anymore but if he is distracted he will keep one on for about 5 seconds. :)
Here are Isaac and Daddy hanging out after work one day this week.  Isaac loves it when he sees Daddy coming in the door....he smiles really big and giggles!
There was a parade last weekend for D-Day that Marc and Isaac went to.   They had lots of things on display including John Deere tractors.  Check out how Isaac sits in his stroller...this is how he always sits....one leg hanging out over the side.  The guy is very chill. :)

Moving & Sunshine

So....we are moving to Fort Leavenworth, KS.  It is about 30-45 min. from Kansas City.  It be great to be closer to the airport! :)  Marc will be going to ILE which is an Army school for majors. The school starts mid-July.   We will be at Leavenworth for about 11 months and then off to somewhere new...the life in the Army. :)  Our prayer right now is that the house sells or rents quickly!!!!  We are going to give it 3 months to sell and then we will try to rent it.  I have spent the week organizing (the closets look great) and cleaning.  We have also squeezed a little sunshine in...it has been beautiful this week.  Isaac and I hung out at the lake one afternoon and then today we went to the pool with some friends. Here are some sweet pics of Isaac hanging out in the sunshine.  I tried hard to get a self-portrait of us but Isaac would not look at the camera so I put the picture up anyway because I tried so hard! :)
