8 Months!

Isaac is 8 months old today!  We decided to take his picture in one of his favorite places....his duck bathtub!  He is a BIG fan of baths and loves this tub and all his bath toys...thanks Grandpa Norm for the "chewies."

  

At 8 months:

Isaac is crawling all over the place and still favors the military low crawl.

He LOVES to play with door stops, cords & loves to lay out on the fuzzy bath mat.  

He has 8 teeth and the way he is drooling there must be another one coming in.  

He is a great sleeper (well...most of the time). 

He is WONDERFUL about going to bed and we try for 8 o'clock every night. He also gets up about 8 o'clock in the morning...Mommy loves that!

He is MUCH better about naps and has finally embraced the morning nap but the afternoon one is still hit or miss. :)  

Isaac loves his food and can eat an amazing amount....he likes pretty much everything except for banana's & avocadoes (we are sad about that one)  you should see his reaction to these foods...he has a very STRONG opinion about them and he will act like he is choking because he won't swallow them...funny guy!

He loves to play peek-a-boo, jump in his jumperoo and he likes rides in his stroller.

Isaac loves other people and goes to anyone.  If he is kinda fussy we just take him outside so he can look at people and he is happy again....extrovert already??

We just can't believe how blessed we are by him...he makes our hearts happy and is bringing SO much joy to our lives!

P.S. The pictures aren't the best because our camera is on the outs and it took a whole lot of tries to get these pics.  We are hoping we can get a new camera sometime soon! 

Daddy Hang Out Ops

Mommy hosted a baby shower at our house for a friend today so guess what that meant....Daddy hang out ops!!!  We sure had fun!  We stopped by his office and then we headed to the park.  There was snow but it was really sunny.  It was much warmer today (in the 50's but Daddy told Mommy it felt MUCH warmer than that in the sun) and the snow was melting fast!  Here I am on the ropes at the park.

Oh, how I love ALL the small pieces of rubber to crawl on.

Look at me sitting too!  Can you tell I was hanging out with Daddy...no hat, no jacket...I'm a tough guy!

Slide time! No worries Daddy did slide down with me but he actually just put me here to take a picture.  I was having a good time laying out in the sun.

Jumperoo

 Let's start with a little explanation.....as first time parents you are always wondering if you "really need something."  We definitely don't feel like we need to have every baby item out there and that most of the time Isaac is going to find something more interesting to play with than toys...I mean, people, we have cords that the little guy seems to LOVE and we are finding him in the most interesting places looking for cords & wires!  

With these thoughts racing through our heads, we struggled whether to get ANOTHER baby item.  We had already tried to buy an exersaucer for Christmas and it never came (we did get our money back) but with that, we thought maybe it was a SIGN that we didn't need one- BUT then he uses an exersaucer in the nursery at Church and LOVES it...how we can deny the little guy so much FUN??! Sooooo we decided to bite the bullet, see if we could get a good deal on ebay, and JUST GET IT.

P.S. an exersaucer has a plastic disk around the bottom but we decided to go with the jumperoo because we have a jumper on our hands!

Spring, Sweet Spring

Yesterday was the first day of spring and it was a perfect spring day!  It was 70 degrees with a little breeze and it was wonderful.  We decided to go out to Milford Lake (which is the biggest lake in Kansas) & enjoy the playground and the new mysteries that spring brings i.e grass and pine needles.

Sure enough EVERYTHING ends up in the mouth!

Isaac is wishing everyone a Happy St Patrick's Day!!

Here I am in my green!  I hope y'all are having a great St. Patrick's Day!

It was such a beautiful day here...82 degrees...WOW! We ran out and greeted Daddy when he got home.  We were so excited to see him!

I got to play with Daddy a little before bedtime and he was bouncing me and I was loving it!!!

Scooter Bug

I am getting places and having a lot of fun along the way!  Here I am checking out what is under my crib and below is the video that Mommy finally caught of me "scooting" or otherwise known as the Army low-crawl.  I am mastering pulling with my arms and Daddy has been trying to explain to me how to get up on my hands and knees too...he even demonstrates and I just look at him like he's a little crazy! :)

DC part 2

Well, we are back in Kansas again but I wanted to let you know about the rest of our Washington DC trip...Guess what happened when we were in DC??  It snowed...A LOT! :)  Here are Mommy and I going for a walk...we had been in the house a couple days by then and it was time to get out!  We had a lot of fun hanging out with cousin Josiah, Aunt Brenda, Uncle Luke, Grandma Nadine and Grandpa Gary!  I also really like my other cousin Saul (the dog).  He was a big fan of licking me and I really didn't mind a bit...I would also scoot over to him and try to grab at his nose and he didn't mind that either...I guess he is getting ready for when Josiah is a little older and he is doing the same things!  We also got to hang out with some friends of Mommy...thanks Amy for coming for coffee and Jenn, Ella Kate and Victoria for going to Starbucks and the playground with us!  Also, big news for the week was that I had 4 teeth coming in all at the same time...Mommy had only mentioned 3 before but the very next day she saw #4...WOW, it did hurt a little to have ALL of them coming in at the same time.  I also am scooting A LOT and Mommy is going to have to get video of it so you all can see it too!

Can you believe that he is already 1 month old!?

7 Months!

I am now 7 months old!  I am getting to be a big boy.  At my last appointment (6 months) I was 28.5" inches and 18 lbs....with the way I eat I am bigger now! :)  I have been having a lot of fun and I am full of laughter...did you know the name Isaac means laughter!?  I am so excited when I am around other people and I am always ready for some fun.  

Future astronaut?

I am sitting up longer and longer each day and I am also doing the military crawl...I haven't quite mastered getting up on my knees yet but I am getting where I want to be! :)
