We have a great traveler!

Las Vegas here we come! We went last weekend to see Marc's old boss from Fort Riley get married. It was a great weekend and we were thankful to have Grandma June, Grandpa Norm and Uncle Jon join us. They got some great Isaac time while we enjoyed the wedding festivities. Thank you!

This was Isaac's 5th trip on a plane and he once again did awesome! He is a little busier these days so it was nice that both Marc and I were on this trip. :) Look at this crazy kid...this is his favorite camera smile!

We were a little cozy in our seats and so we got some cuddle time with our little guy.

Getting settled & Birthday weekend pics

Well, we are getting settled here in Leavenworth and we are liking it so far. It is so great to be closer to the airport and the "big city". Leavenworth is out in the country but we are only about 25-30 min. from most things....so nice! We have been enjoying being in the country and getting fresh produce from the local farms...yummy! Marc has started his military schooling and will also be starting a Master's program soon through KU (University of Kansas). We laugh because neither of us have ever wanted to live in Kansas (not that it is a bad place but if you didn't know, it is in the MIDDLE of the United States and that means there is NO ocean nearby and for us beach people that is a very sad thing) and now it will be forever a part of us...he will soon have a Masters of Logistics from University of KANSAS and a diploma to proudly display on our walls!

....but now, on to the real purpose of the blog...this adorable 1 YEAR OLD and some more random pics of his birthday weekend!!

It was so wonderful of Grandpa Norm and Grandma June to come out for Isaac's birthday and they helped out so much all weekend!! THANK YOU!!!

Grandma June chopped so many onions and cooked so many yummy foods for the birthday bash!! Her potato salad was a HUGE hit!

My sister, Brenda was also the "professional dishwasher"! We don't have a dishwasher (yes, very 1950's we know) and so Brenda filled in quite nicely! :) I think Josiah is a little worn out in this picture. We had a busy weekend and spent some "refreshing" time at the local pool.

There were some sweet moments and we can't wait for them to play together more when they are bigger! :) We are hoping and praying that they will be great friends!

More Colorado Pics

We have been trying to keep the blog in order of events but since we fell behind in posting pictures we had to put up some of his birthday pics before we finished our Colorado vacation. Here are a few more pictures from beautiful Colorado...WOW, it is such a pretty place! We were able to take the gondola up in Vail and do some hiking.

It was a quick trip but we had a lot of fun and really want to go back and hang out a little longer in the beautiful Rockies. Here is the map of the ski slopes...we really need to go back and check them out with snow on them! :)

On the way back we were able to go back to Colorado Springs and hang out with the Posts and go to the Zoo! It was a really fun day and they have a really cool zoo! Thank you Jon, Rebecca, Emma and Reese for such a great time!

Birthday Party

1 YEAR OLD!

I am 1 year old!!!  I am having a great time being 1 so far.  My Grandma June, Grandpa Norm, Aunt Brenda and cousin Josiah are all here visiting and we are having a grand time.  We just had my 1st birthday party today (Sat.) and so we have lots more pictures to show you.  First, here are a few things that I am up to these days:

I have teeth # 13, 14, 15 & 16 coming in!!!!!

I am crawling up on my knees and I still like the Army low crawl but walking may be in the near future.

I talk up a storm and have Mommy and Daddy pretty convinced that ma-ma and da-da are part of my vocabulary.

I love being around the action but just in the last couple of weeks I have decided I am not a fan of strangers...they look weird! :)

I like to eat everything in sight and I will stare someone down while they are eating....you are my friend if you offer me some of your food! :)

Being 1 year is pretty cool!
