Have you noticed that quick is not my middle name...

Yep, I have had great intentions to get more posted but here I sit with only part 1 done.  It's a good thing I am not making real scrapbooks for the kids because I promise you those would NEVER get done!  :)  We have all been fighting colds this past week and I have had the most annoying cough...I guess you call this life, right people?! :)  Here is a little list of what we have been up to:

-The girls are BOTH walking all over the place and I am so happy that they are but they are truly busy little bees and they are keeping me on my toes! :)  Once they go to bed Marc and I collapse on the sofa...literally!

-Isaac and I had dentist appointments today and let's just say he WASN'T a fan.  His teeth look great though. :)  All 20 of them!

-Isabella is going through a super duper shy phase and has determined that if she doesn't see you, then you don't exist...hence why her head is hidden in the side of the stroller or into our shoulder most places we go.

-Ava doesn't seem to have a shy bone in her body and has grasped walking very quickly...she also talks up a storm!!  She loves to walk and say "I'm walking" in her cute little baby voice. (note to self: must get video)

Since it is unlikely I will get Part 2 up tonight because I have a million pictures to go though to make that happen, I am tired and still need to make cookies for a going away party tomorrow here are some pictures of Carnaval (like mardi Gras) which was celebrated here last week and also some "afternoon playtime."

Isaac was a "Cars" race car driver again...gotta milk this costume. :)  He was showing me the sticker he got on his hand for being a good boy at school that day.

I was trying to get a picture in front of the festive door in his classroom. Isaac was hoping to get another sticker for his other hand. :)

He was really just obsessed with his sticker. :)

 This is what the kids love to do when they leave preschool...they have a blast climbing these logs.

Afternoon playtime with the kids was in Isabella's bed.  Isaac was crawling in a out getting more and more books and toys. (it looks dark because the shade in their room was broken that day--it's fixed now)

These girls are huge fans of these boots and they always want to have them on. :)
Maybe tomorrow I will have more pictures or maybe not..HA HA!

Chamonix part 1

This blog is our family scrapbook of sorts.  We are going to print it off and give copies for the kiddos (since this has also been their baby book).  So without further ado I have to back-track for a couple days and reLIVE CHAMONIX , BABY! :)

On our way to CHAMONIX!!!  The van was packed up and the kids did great!

There's Grandma June with one of the coolest gifts ever...a HUGE Mr. Potato Head!  Grandpa Norm and Uncle Erik were with her too!

The whole crew in action--around the table with a hands on session with Mr. Potato Head.  It was a long day of traveling and I think we were all wiped.  It was great to be together!

Ava was trying out all the beds figuring out which one she wanted.  Here she is in Grandma's & Grandpa's bed!

Here is day 2 and a little bit of the incredible view.

The town of Chamonix was very quaint and we had a lot of fun touring around it.  Look at this super cool horse and carriage!

Our 1st full day there we took Isaac sledding on a super tiny hill and he had the BEST time....check it out....

All DONE and heading back to the chalet.  We have LOTS more pictures to share...come on back...

snow + bikes

We had snow on the ground for a couple of weeks and during that time we had to have a little bike time!

The kiddos all have their "vehicle" of choice.  Isaac still loves his balance bike, Isabella loves the trike (although her feet can't reach the pedals) and Ava loves this little car she is on.

Our yard has a stone path that goes around the perimeter of the yard so it is is perfect for the kids to go around and around and around....:)

Ava loves to push the buttons on the car and also place things in the storage area in the front...you never know what you might find.

Happy Monday & Cocoa Fun

Happy Monday!  We have had a SUPER busy weekend with my cousin, Jamie visiting!  Marc even had today off for Carnival and so we just got back from a fun day in Brussels.  I still have lots to catch up on but first I wanted you to see how hot cocoa drinking goes in our house...

They make us laugh...

Yes, the girls are OBSESSED with our stairs.  They are always bringing me their shoes & jackets to go "out". :)  On this morning Ava also wanted Isaac's backpack. 

Ava then went and grabbed Isaac's shoe.  Oh, and she needed her hood on she decided...of course!

This litttle one LOVES this fleece and would wear it all the time.  Isabella is also OBSESSED with all things electronic.  She has gotten my phone SO many times and has called many people...including 112 (which is like 911 in the US)....uh oh!

They have been really into hats the last few days and Isaac always picks out who gets to wear what...today he was letting Isabella wear one of his favorite hats! :)

Grandma June got Isaac this huge puzzle for Christmas and he LOVES it!  He is so good at puzzles and I love watching him put them together....he has a interesting system for finding the pieces and it has nothing to do with finding the outside boarder first.

Snow fun...

The last couple of weeks have been crazy cold here!!  It warmed up on Monday so now all this white stuff is gone but we have had fun playing in it the last couple of weeks...except for when it was too cold to go outside...yep, it was down to 5 degrees fahrenheit a few days and it really was way toooo cold!

Isabella was loving being in the snow!  Now that she can stand up and not having to sit in it makes a big difference.:)

Happy Valentine's Day!

We hope you are having a wonderful Valentine's Day!  We had a little party after dinner tonight and the kiddos got heart cookies and the girls each got a book and Isaac a video.  We don't always do gifts but it was something fun to do and they were very excited!! Here they are:

The kiddos were loving their heart cookies tonight and weren't sure what to do with all the sweetness! :)

Isaac was all smiles since he LOVES cookies and ate every single bite of it.

Isabella has been doing awesome walking and just in the last couple days has been walking about 90% of the time...check her out...
