Port Orchard Memories...

Look what we pulled out of storage while we were there.  This car was Grandma June's very first car--1965 Ford Falcon, original owner--she blessed us with it a couple of years ago and my Dad worked on it and has been looking after it for us. (He even bought a storage container for it--thanks Dad!)  It was a beautiful day in Port Orchard so we took it to the lake...Big smiles on everyone & Isaac enjoyed the back seat!

 My Uncle Roy has a house on the lake.  Isaac wanted to go on a boat so the next best thing was sitting on the jet ski.  Isaac was loving it....and no we never left the dock. :)

While we were there it was my Mom's b-day.   We had a little party for her although Isaac was convinced that the party was for him!

Port Orchard Beach Time

Finally, some Seattle pictures!  I JUST downloaded the pictures from our trip.  I wanted to catch up on some other pictures first.  We have had a crazy week here.  ALL of us came down with the stomach flu over the weekend!  That and record breaking high temps 98 degrees (& NO air conditioning) made for a interesting weekend...not interesting in a good way. :)

My parents live a 5 minute walk from this beach so Isaac and I were able to go down a few times to have a little play time.

Outside fun & the last day of school...

This week has FLOWN by!  Isaac went to VBS (Vacation Bible School) this week and I volunteered a couple of days.  While I volunteered the girls were in the nursery.  All has been going well till this morning (Friday) when I went to get Ava up I realized she had thrown up...poor girl is sick and so we are having a low-key day!  The girls are napping now so it is the perfect time to catch up on the blog!

These pool pictures are from the 4th of July.  I forgot to mention that the "Olympics" at Isaac's school were on the 4th of July.  It was weird to be at his school that day but they don't observe the American holidays so they thought nothing of it. :) His last day of school was July 5th.

One of the kids' favorite things to eat are pistachios...thank you Uncle Jon for being our supplier! :) Isabella definitely knows how to Get Crackin' on some nuts!!!

Here is Isaac's last day of school.  They got popsicles when they left the classroom.  He was all about that popsicle and Ava was enjoying hers and Isabella's. :)

They compiled "art books" for all the kids and it is such a great thing. It's a collection of his art from the whole year. Way to go Isaac! 

Isaac had a great year and will start back up at the same school at the beginning of September.  He goes to the next class up so it will be a new experience.

What a great day!!!

Early summer fun...

Before I download the new photos I wanted to go back and catch up a little...here is some early summer fun!  We went on a Sunday after Church to IKEA for lunch (it is only open on Sundays when it is the last Sunday of the month).  We went with Gwen, Kyle & Sophia and everyone was enjoying their ice cream! :)  Remember these dresses, Brenda?  She got them for the girls before they were born and I remember thinking that it would be forever before they would fit...well, here they are...fitting great, time flies!

Another fun outing was this great park that had all these fun slides and things to climb.  Of course it rained that day...the whole month of June it only got out of the 60s twice!

We went under cover to get out of the rain, but the rain didn't stop us from gobbling down the chips!

This is the beginning of July and the first day it was warm!  I was helping a friend with some decorating for her house and we took and break and grabbed dinner.

The girls looked so cute in these outfits!  They are hand-me-downs from another set of twins and are so cute.  Isaac is not happy that Isabella has his car...do you see it?

She wasn't wanting to give it back.

Finally, Isaac gets a few moments to play with his cars/trains.

We went and checked out another fun play place called PeeWee's.  We took Gwen, Kyle & Sophia with us and we all had a great time playing.  All the kids loved these toboggans.

The girls had no problem climbing and working the toboggans onto the ramp.  They get super excited when they can manage an activity from start to finish all by themselves.

Doesn't it show?  Pure joy!  Isabella had a little adventurous spirit in her.

We're back!

Hi!  Isaac and I are back.  Marc didn't explain much but I took a very last minute trip to be with my Mom who was recovering from a surgery.  My Mom has ALWAYS been there for me and I thought I should be there for her.  I am very glad a went and Isaac was a great travel companion.  My sister also had a baby boy on 9 July, so we did a quick trip to HOT San Antonio to meet my new nephew, Cash.  It was such a whirlwind trip and Isaac was such a trooper!

I haven't uploaded all my photos yet but while we were gone it was Isaac's 4th birthday!  This little guy LOVES b-days and so it was a fun time.  Since his b-day falls in the middle of the summer I spoke with his Dutch pre-school about having a little b-day party for him before the school year was out.  So on June 22nd (which happened to be my brother, Doug's b-day) they had a party for him and he LOVED it!

They make these great hats and have the kids sit on a throne.

Do you see the girls on the right?  The class sung a TON of songs (all in Dutch, of course) and Isaac was all smiles.

The girls were in awe and enjoyed the celebration. They will soon be going to this same school once a week starting in JUST a few weeks.

Isaac even got a special wand and got to give each child a present. (Their tradition is that you give each student a little gift)

...and then it was time for his.  He picked the perfect thing for him...CARS! :)
