Here we are ready to begin a new adventure and new chapter in the life of Team Shafer! We have decided to follow our dreams and embark on an year long trek traveling the United States and possibly beyond (depending on the pandemic). In April we bought a 21' travel trailer (to pull behind our F150 truck) and Kelly has been fixing it up since then. It is now ready to go and hopefully travel ready...its part of the adventure, right?! We rented our house out for a year and the tenants have moved in. Marc also retired August 1st after 24 years and 2 months of military service (not including an additional 4 years at West Point). Marc is also following is passion and starting a logistics company. Yes, we know it's a lot but we are excited to see the adventure unfold and what crazy times we might have ahead. The kids are at perfect ages (Isaac is 12 and Ava and Isabella are 10) to help document the adventure so be expecting great stories from them. We also have a rabbit crazy beagle. This animal alone might be the driving force behind some of the craziest adventures. The kids love Roxy and she is here for the adventure! The kids are hoping to have a "Roxy Corner" on the blog so be on the lookout for that. Here's to a great year ahead....
