Highlights of 2011

Happy 2012!  Hope you had wonderful New Years!   Here are some higlights of 2011.  I was going to do a top 10 but couldn't narrow it down so I did a highlight (or 2) from each month!  There are LOTS of pictures so get a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy! :)

Really!  The girls were this young just a year ago!?  I wrote last New Year's that our goal for 2011 was to ENJOY our kids...I know that we met that goal!  We had a wonderful year enjoying our 3 little munchkins! :)

In January we also took a trip to Belgium to see a classmate of Marc's while he was in Fort Leavenworth, KS.

February quickly came and Daddy got these adorable shirts from Hank Orange...their hearts belong to Daddy! :)

Marc's b-day was in February and a certain little guy was just as excited as Daddy to be blowing out the candles!

We did our first overnight trip to Brugge, Belgium in March and it was a success!

We also had a Carnival parade in our town to go to in March with our little fireman and ballerinas.

Was it really nice enough to wear shorts in April?!  We checked out the famous Keukenhof Gardens up near Amsterdam and weren't disappointed!

In April the girls had their 1st encounter with the Easter Bunny and we had a wonderful time celebrating the resurrection of Christ.

In May we had another little birthday celebration (mine) that included a trip to France and this awesome place called Mont Saint Michel...a really cool place!

Did you happen to see how steep that place was?  Well, with about 1000 steps (slight exaggeration) we (I) was wiped from carrying Ava with only a makeshift carrier (Marc scored with the backpack).  This pick is from the top of the hike! :)

These two little ones turned 1 in June!

We had a wonderful time celebrating our 1st year with these precious girls!  Look at those cute cowgirl outfits from Grandma Nadine!?

In June/July these fabulous Grandparents came to see us and we all had fun!

We got to all share in 4th of July festivities together!

This little guy turned 3 at the end of July.

We went off to the beach in August...even with the skies threatening rain!

In August we also began the potty training journey and the girls were more interested in the Elmo potty than Isaac! :)

In Sept/ Oct. another set of fabulous grandparents came to visit.

In Oct. we headed to West Point for Marc's 15 year reunion while my parents stayed in the Netherlands with the kiddos.

At the end of October our little kittens enjoyed a fun Halloween party.

...this little race car driver also enjoyed the party.

In Nov. it was still nice enough for even a little bike ride.

We also got a seriously good Thanksgiving spread at the Chapel and were joined by some good friends in Nov.

My cousin, Jamie came to visit in December and we had a great time going to Christmas markets.

In Dec. we went on an awesome ski trip to Austria.

We ended the year with a wonderful Christmas celebration with these little ones and we feel soooooo blessed to have them! Oh, and that little guy in the pic is potty trained...he has become a fan of the Elmo potty after all! :)
