Bath & Stonehenge

We got packed out of our beach house and on the road by 10...think the girls were a little worn out from all the packing (at least Mommy was)!?  

This is a less-then-exciting picture but just a reminder to us of the adventure of driving on the other side of the road...and that it was actually sunny for a few moments of our trip! :)

After driving for what seemed forever we finally made it to Bath and enjoyed a late lunch.  It is a very cool city with lots of great shopping and of course the reason why it is called Bath...the Roman baths that are there.  

We ended up with lots of food thinking the kiddos would eat more than they did....Marc and I were quite full by the end of the meal.

The kids are great sports and really go-with-the-flow.  They have been so many cool places already and the girls aren't even 2 yet! (almost!)  This picture they are all laughing and sharing in some joke that Isaac thinks is funnier than it is. :)

We asked Isaac to take a picture of us and this was it!  Good try, buddy!

We stopped by the Roman baths but didn't go further then the foyer.  When traveling with 3 little ones, 3 and under, you have to evaluate each move and ask "is it worth it?"  or the bigger question-- "Will we enjoy it and get our money out of it or will we be running out of it as fast a we enter??" :)  We decided it wasn't worth it.

...but having a gluten free brownie sure was!  I have been gluten free for a while and enjoy a good treat now and then!  Isaac was liking the brownie A LOT!

Next on our journey was Stonehenge.  We decided to go without a stroller and see how the kiddos do walking on their own...well, they did pretty good...BUT...Isabella wanted to be held because of all the people & Ava likes to wander...the soccer ball helped... 

We didn't do the entire loop, but Marc wanted to check out the final couple of listening points. (Did we say how nice it was to have signs and instructions in English?) They gave out audio tour devices and so here are Isaac & Ava chillin' while Daddy was catching some of the history of the place.  I had Isabella with me at a bench and she thought the audio tour was a great toy so I heard very little about the place...ask Marc if you need any questions answered!

Ava & Isaac were trying to get at the dirt in between the grate 8-)  Yes, it's the little things...

Here is a little foot bridge that the grounds keepers move around to preserve the grass.  Isaac was liking the comfort of the soccer ball pillow and Ava was thinking about how she could get that ball away from Isaac...Of course the historical significance of the "bluestone" was the furthest thing from their minds...they just enjoyed the fun of being out of the car.
