Junior Kindergarten (JK)

We went in for Isaac's junior kindergarden orientation on Sept 3rd and I think the girls were more excited to be there than Isaac.
There is a little play area off of his classroom and the girls were loving all the toys.

They think Isaac going to JK is the best thing ever.

Isabella loves to play until people come around and then it is back to Mommy. :)

This is inside Isaac's classroom and they have all sorts of activity centers to facilitate learning.  Isaac set the table before we walked in (we were at a parent meeting) & his teacher was thrilled with his attention to detail, so she even took a picture with her camera.  When we came in with Ava, she sat right down.  Isaac and Ava were enjoying "eating" food together.

Isabella joined in on the fun.

They were having a great time playing.

This was the next day on the 1st day of school.  Isaac's sign says JK (Junior Kindergarden).

We had debated what school to place Isaac in this year and we were really torn.  In the end he is in the perfect place for him right now.  He goes to an International English speaking school.  We really likes his teacher and right now there are only 3 kids in his class (it will get bigger as the year goes on...when the pre-schoolers turn 4 they move up to JK).  He LOVES the one-on-one attention and is doing really well!!  They are really flexible (which is what I wanted) and so he goes full days on Mon, Tues, Thurs and half days on Wed. & Fri...which is a typical Dutch school schedule at his age.  I asked him what his best thing was from today and he said "school"....awesome!

Don't let the face fool you...he loves it!!!
