Winter time!

So this week has been super busy and crazy cold!  It was Isaac's 1st week of preschool and he did great! The first day he looked a little shell shocked...it was like "where have these people taken me now!".  His classroom is made up of a ton of nationalities and they mainly speak English but they also speak and learn Dutch.  We think it is going to be a great experience for him!  The teachers and his classmates seem great and we are excited to see what this year has in store for him!

It was a crazy week to be getting him to preschool because it has been soooo cold.  His first day it was 24 degrees and then all the rest of the week it hovered around 16 degrees.  The girls have been soooo bundled up all week!  It has snowed more and I am thankful for Marc who had the foresight to but snowtires on our car a couple of weeks ago (Thanks Sweetie!) it has made a huge difference and has made getting around in this crazy weather bearable...especially with all the bikes on the road even in this crazy weather...these Dutch people are tough cookies and are on their bikes rain, snow or shine! :)

Isaac got some good playtime in the snow.  Oh, if you haven't noticed he doesn't like smiling for the camera right now but he was enjoying wearing his santa hat! :)

A view of the castle from our front door. (it has a really cool moat around it!)

We came inside and had some hot cocoa!

Isaac likes to eat EVERYTHING (even raisins and tangerines) from a fork or spoon so here he was trying hot cocoa with a spoon.

Ava had just woken up from her nap when we came in!  Here she is sporting an adorable hat that Aunt Brenda got the girls!  Sooooo cute! :)
