Mini America...

Part of the weekend fun that included the German Christmas market also included a trip to Spangdahlem & Ramstein Airforce bases.  We wanted to get a little American shopping done and haven't been to either place since we have been stationed here.  They have larger stores and also more American cuisine....hey, we had to introduce the girls to a little Taco Bell.  Our kids love quesadillas so we knew it would be a hit.

They have a new Spicy Dorito shell for their taco, so Marc had to check it out. The jury is out on whether he liked it...

We got a little bowling in and the bonus was it was FREE night!  Good thing because we were all done by about the 6th frame.....so we packed it up and went back to our hotel. :) note to self: bowling with 10 people where 6 are under age 7 takes mucho time...

What the kids liked more than bowling were the "rides".  We didn't put any coins in them but the kids enjoyed them anyway!  When did Ava start looking so grown up!?

Pretend play on the machines.

The next day we went to Ramstein and it is a BIGGER base (our friends headed back to the Netherlands)!  We ate at the Macaroni Grill.  Being there was a little taste of America.  Isaac wasn't into getting his picture being taken but he did enjoy the meal.  You never get plastic cups like this in Europe...everything is glass...which is good because you teach them to be careful but bad because they do break sometimes!

The girls.

Ava is a good spaghetti eater!

They even had a mall area that had Santa that day (the weekend after Thanksgiving).  Isaac was really excited about Santa that day (what happened!?).

Here is a little photo shoot by the trees.  The kids were having fun playing around.  We had gotten some chocolate for a treat so they were enjoying that....

Yipeeeee!

Touching the sky.

Ava was all done!
So am I...be back tomorrow...
