Big Boy Bed Ops

How was your weekend?  Ours was good.  I went to a ladies' Bunco night on Friday and it was fun to go out...I was even the biggest loser and won a little $! :)  On Saturday it was our quest to get Isaac a new bed.  He had been sleeping horrible all last week which is so unusual for him.  He kept waking up saying "hurt" and we couldn't figure it out.  We are now thinking he had run out of room in his toddler bed and wasn't able to stretch out.  Anyway, his room is pretty small and his toddler bed fit perfectly into a little nook in there.  We needed to be a little creative with his new bed because there is not a lot of floor space.  I had seen this bed while out shopping a few weeks ago and we took Isaac to see what he thought.  He loved it right away and the girls did too! :)

He was getting very comfy!

It is up off the floor so you can play under it but it is not super high either....it is the perfect fit for us right now.

After getting the bed and mattress at one store we ran over to IKEA to get some sheets.  We also got dinner since it was about that time and the girls didn't use the high chairs (first time for IKEA Ops)...look how big they are getting! :)

This was also the 1st time that we had gotten them their own ice cream cones...we had melt down last time when they had to share.  They were loving it!  They pretty much finished them off with lots of napkin wiping and Daddy-instituted chewing down the rim to expose the ice cream. :)

We then went home and put the bed together (after putting the girls down).

Isaac was a good helper and finished off the bed.

Here he is climbing up for his maiden voyage into his new bed.  There is a funky shelf in his room and it fits perfectly below it.

A very happy camper!  He LOVES his new bed and he slept GREAT last night...SUCCESS! :)
**I spent a lot of the day rearranging his room so I have more pics of the kids playing in there for tomorrow.  I also need to post some pics from our water park adventure...
