1st Belgium trip

We want to make sure to document our trips better this time around. Somedays it doesn't feel like it was that long ago that we lived in Europe but since we lived here both as single people and then right after we were married there are days Marc and I can't remember if it was with each other when we went to ______(fill in the blank ...Paris, Brussels, Prague, Amsterdam, etc.) or did we go with friends, family, colleagues, Young Life kids, etc, etc... ??? All that to say that we want to make sure that we can keep up with what we have done so the kids can look back on it someday and know where they have been too!

These pictures are from this last weekend when we went to Belgium to see friends.  We know this family from our time in Leavenworth.  He is a Belgium military officer and took his whole family to Kansas last year to attend the Command General and Staff College (CGSC) and was in Marc's class.  (He was sitting next to Marc at graduation on June 11th when Marc found out I was in labor with the girls). They really miss the states and loved it in Kansas.  Here is Marc with the family in front of their house.  Katrin made us the best Belgium meal and served us an incredibly yummy local desert.

 They took us to the World War II monument in Bastogne.  They have a huge monument for the fallen soldiers with all the states written on it. Can you find Isaac in the picture?
